What Is Screen Printing on Bottles? (And Why It Lasts Longer)
How silkscreen printing works on bottles and why it outlasts every label-based alternative.
How it works
Ink is pushed through a fine mesh screen onto the bottle surface, one color at a time. Each color requires its own screen, alignment, and curing pass. The result is a layer of ink physically bonded to the bottle.
Why it lasts
Curing — usually heat-set — chemically bonds the ink to glass or plastic. Unlike adhesive labels, there's nothing for water, oil, or solvents to break down. A well-cured silkscreen print outlasts the product inside.
Where you see it
Look at almost any premium soap, craft beverage, or cosmetic bottle on a shelf. If you can't pick at an edge with a fingernail, it's silkscreen.
