How Much Does Custom Bottle Printing Cost in 2026?

Custom bottle printing pricing in 2026 hasn't shifted dramatically from previous years, but how you order matters more than ever. The difference between a $0.25 unit and a $1.65 unit usually comes down to four levers: bottle material, quantity, color count, and setup.
Per-unit pricing at a glance
- Plastic bottles 32 oz or smaller: around $0.25/unit
- Half gallon plastic: around $0.35/unit
- Gallon and larger plastic: around $0.55/unit
- Glass bottles 32 oz and under: around $0.55/unit per color — half gallon: ~$1.00, gallon: ~$2.00
- Cups (any size): around $0.25/unit
What multiplies your price
Each additional print color roughly multiplies the per-unit price. A two-color print on a 32 oz plastic bottle isn't $0.25 plus a small fee — it's closer to $0.50/unit, because every color is its own pass through the press with its own screen.
Small jobs, film, and packaging
Jobs under the minimum are a flat $250 for the first color plus $150 per additional pass ($250 / $400 / $550). Packaging runs around $50 per 1,000 units, film is billed at cost, and custom tooling for a new bottle shape is $100–$150 one-time (waived on same-bottle reorders). These are the costs people forget when comparing quotes.
Where you save money
Order in volume, lock your design in before going to press, and stick to one or two colors when possible. A clean one-color print at 5,000 units is the sweet spot for most small brands.
