How to Choose the Right Bottle Size and Shape for Your Product
Match your bottle to your product, your shelf placement, and your brand goals.
Size: think dosage and price point
What's the typical use case? A daily-use shampoo wants 12–32 oz. A premium serum wants 0.5–2 oz. Match the bottle to how often the product gets refilled or repurchased.
Shape: think shelf and grip
Round bottles are forgiving but generic. Square and oval bottles maximize label real estate but cost more. Tall narrow bottles read premium; short wide bottles read functional.
Test in hand
Always order bottle samples before committing. Photos lie about weight, balance, and grip — three things customers feel immediately and remember.
